Steve has been working with organisations to improve their capability, performance and ability to deliver on their strategies for more than 20 years. He started his career with British Airways in London during their transformation following privatisation back in the early 90s. Steve was a Human Capital consultant with Mercer Consulting in London, and ANZ working with global firms including Vodafone, AXA insurance, Kraft, Compaq computers, and many leading organisations in NZ.
Steve held GM Organisational Development roles with Carter Holt Harvey and Fonterra, and was HR Director for Fonterra’s businesses in Asia, Middle East, Japan and China. He was based in Singapore with his family for 5 years holding Vice President HR regional roles with ESPN and Hewlett Packard’s PC business across the Asia Pacific Japan region during periods of significant change and business development.
Steve founded Genuine People in early 2011 to be a niche consulting firm focused on delivering exceptional results for organisations building Organisational Capability and providing guidance through significant periods of Change and Evolution. GP’s clients include many leading organisations based in NZ, Asia and Europe, in the private & public sector, SMEs and larger national and multi-national corporates.

Jo is an experienced and seasoned senior leader and project director who spent over 20 years in local government in operational then planning and high profile project roles. She developed a reputation as a results oriented driven manager with a high degree of energy and integrity. Jo’s last role in local government was as the Group Manager, Special Projects at Auckland City Council leading the $350m redevelopment of Auckland’s Central Business District.
Over the past seven years Jo has been operating her own business consulting to public sector and non-governmental organisations in the areas of strategic planning and policy development and providing programme management, change management, project leadership, facilitation and management coaching and mentoring services. Jo has been able to pull on her vast and varied leadership, planning and project experience and ability to communicate to varied audiences to lead and drive projects very successfully for her clients.

Gerhard brings extensive global experience in the areas of strategy, business planning, marketing, business management, alliances and product management. He has more than 20 years of experience in business optimization in high tech and telecommunications.
He has specific knowledge in strategy development and implementation as well as strong experience in managing a high volume, low margin business. He has become an expert in growing businesses and optimizing business operations to improve business results.
Focus areas during his career have been small and medium business optimization, new business development, transforming education, and recently optimizing global tourism and hospitality.
Gerhard is German by passport but global by experience. He brings knowledge of Asia/ Pacific, Europe, New Zealand and US markets having worked and lived in Germany, US, France, Singapore and New Zealand.
Born in Augsburg, Germany, Gerhard holds a master degree in business, economics and social sciences from University of Augsburg, Germany.
